The WarmEarth Process
How We Work With You
WarmEarth specializes in working carefully with customers to help them meet their business objectives. So whether your project is large or small, we will be working with you through the following phases of the project to achieve a successful site:
We will meet with you to evaluate your business goals:
- What objectives do you have for the site?
- How can it help enhance or expand your current business activities?
- What are companies similar to yours doing on the web?
- What existing materials do you have that you want to incorporate into
your web site?
We will work to develop a web design that helps achieve your objectives. This includes a careful balancing of inter-related elements to provide an effective web presence:
- Graphic Design to achieve a professional image
- Information Design so that the compelling content is planned
- Effective Navigation so that visitors can quickly find the information they want
- Information Architecture so even complex information is made easy for site visitors to find and to understand
After the design for your site is approved, we will work with you to develop and add additional content that will compel customers to visit your site. This phase is a combination of crafting the content and designing how it can be most effectively presented using the visual and interactive medium of the web.
Some testing is involved throughout the design process; however, careful testing is needed in this final phase before the web site is made available to the public. The purpose of this phase is to ensure that everything works as planned. We want to ensure that the user can find the essential information without any technical glitches.
Often not given the necessary consideration, this is a critical phase. After the site is released to the public, don't let the content become static. Information needs to be added and updated regularly to keep your web site effective.
If the site is going to be an integral part of your business activities, make an ongoing effort to provide current contact information and price lists. Information on the web need never become static or out of date. Add information related to special promotions or activities. Provide product specials. You don't need to wait for a slow print production process. Keep customers coming back for more.
