The WarmEarth Staff

Who We Are

The founder of WarmEarth, Drue Porter has been involved in web development and Internet communications for more than three years. She has a fascination with the web, seeing it as a medium where people are discovering new ways to learn, work, and communicate.

With a varied background in both business and education, Drue began her career as a journalist, and later taught English and journalism at both the high school and university level. Drue also spent more than 15 years at Electronic Data Systems (EDS) in varied positions in marketing communications, sales support, training development, and business and technical writing. At EDS, she developed the concept for and implemented several intranet sites to enhance employee performance and facilitate communication.

In working with WarmEarth clients, Drue's focus is on ensuring that web sites meet the desired objectives in communicating with customers or site visitors. The technical aspects of web development are important, but should not override the human or business aspects. As each web presence is planned, it is analyzed to see what of value or interest the site has to offer visitors.

Drue has degrees in journalism and English from Baylor University and Eastern New Mexico University, as well as a doctorate from Texas A&M University - Commerce.
